SAMPLE – How to Bleed Your Radiators for Better Heating
6 April 2024 « Back to Blog PostsIf you’ve noticed cold spots on your radiators or they’re not heating up as well as they used to, it might be time to bleed them. Air can become trapped inside your radiators over time, preventing hot water from circulating properly.
Bleeding your radiators is a simple job that most homeowners can do themselves. All you need is a radiator key and a cloth. Turn your heating on, wait for the radiators to warm up, then use the key to open the bleed valve slightly. You’ll hear a hissing sound as the air escapes. Once water starts to drip out, close the valve.
